Last week, the Delishow once again proved to be the ultimate platform where growers, traders, and other industry professionals gathered to discover the latest developments in Deliflor's breeding program. Alongside established commercial favorites, this year’s show featured an impressive array of new varieties.

Carnaval de Flores: vibrant and tropical
With the theme Carnaval de Flores, the event brought an exuberant and tropical atmosphere. Both the greenhouse and the surrounding paths were beautifully decorated, immersing visitors in a burst of color.

Workshop for women in the industry
The event kicked off on Tuesday with a highlight: a creative workshop exclusively for women in the sector, including growers’ wives, marketing professionals, and trade partners. Participants created their own floral arrangements using Deliflor’s latest varieties. The new Dropshot Coral was the undeniable star of the session. Spotlight on new varieties
The blooming trials showcased many promising newcomers. A striking large white disbud chrysanthemum drew unanimous admiration, while Smashmint also captured much attention. Additionally, a vibrant orange spray chrysanthemum stood out for its warm, intense color. Favorites such as Mirana and Honeymoon remained as popular as ever, and the newly discovered Commander Yellow sparked excitement as a fantastic addition to the existing white and pink variants of this strong variety.

A festive closing
The week concluded on Thursday evening with a lively dinner and drinks reception. The Quizbrothers added a touch of fun with an engaging quiz, sparking friendly competition among attendees. Several participants went home with wonderful prizes.

The RoyalFloraHolland Tradefair 2024 was fantastic! It’s the perfect place to connect with customers from home and abroad, traders, florists, and everyone active in our beautiful floral industry. At Deliflor, we proudly showcased our latest chrysanthemum innovations, both at our own stand and at the in-house shows of our trade partners. Together, we’re bringing exciting new varieties to the world of chrysanthemums!

The week was filled with highlights:

- 🥉 3rd place in the Glazen Tulp Award in the Cut Flowers category for our unique disbudded chrysanthemum, Etrusko Orange, grown by Arcadia Chrysanten.

- 🤝 David Marin, Director of Deliflor Americas, was nominated for the Young International Grower of the Year Award 2025 by AIPH—a well-deserved recognition for his inspiring leadership and commitment to collaboration.

- 🤝 Nomination for our client Kreling Chrysanten for the Dutch Flower Award 2024, themed ‘long term partnership,’ which perfectly aligns with the values Kreling upholds in their cooperative.

- 🎁 Commander Pink campaign winners: FlowerPortal and Bachetle Spol were the lucky winners of our latest round, rewarded with delightful Rituals Giftsets for their loyalty to this beautiful new variety!

It was a week full of connections, innovations, and wonderful moments. A big thank you to everyone who made this Tradefair a success and who visited us in our stand! On to a colourful future full of growth and partnership!

From November 5th to 7th, Deliflor will be present at the Royal Flora Holland Trade Fair in Aalsmeer! We are excited to showcase some new varieties at our stand, such as Summer Love, Precious, and Etrusko Orange. Additionally, our (new) stars Commander, Mirana, Magnum, and Baltica will be shining bright. We invite you to come by and catch up with Deliflor over a nice cup of coffee or a snack and drink. On October 3rd, Deliflor set up a special Santini flower trial at Hendriks Baarlo, a Sanitni grower in the South of the Netherlands. To make it as easy as possible for interested traders, joint transportation to the beautiful Limburg region was arranged. With a full-day program, complete with snacks and drinks, the traders could get an up-close look at all the new Santini varieties from Deliflor. In the greenhouse of Hans and Ruud Hendriks, several varieties were planted, and beautiful displays of various varieties were also set up. Among them was the Dropshot Red, a red variant of the purple Dropshot, which will also be available at Hendriks in the new year.
