From Tuesday 9 June through Friday 12 June, Deliflor will present its international assortment during the Deli Flower Market. A beautiful market square will be created where the international assortment will be showcased. In addition, new numbers and existing varieties will of course be in full bloom in the flower trials. A great opportunity for all international customers to gain inspiration at Deliflor.

Deliflor will be present at the Flora Expo in Astana from April 8 to 10. This trade fair is an important event for meeting buyers from Eastern Europe. An increasing number of growers, breeders, and trading companies from the West can also be found there. Deliflor will proudly promote its newest variety, Stravina. This classic beauty, with its large white flowers and excellent dyeability, fits extremely well with the needs of this market. “The market response to this beautiful new disbudded chrysanthemum from Deliflor has been overwhelmingly positive,” says Marchel den Haan, Market Manager at Deliflor. “VannoVa will supply them in large quantities starting week 15, which means they will become widely available.”

The white single-flowered Mirana will also be showcased at the Deliflor booth at the Expo in Astana. ‘Reflecting beauty’—the slogan with which this variety has already established itself in the market—will again be visible in the booth through a striking glitter wall. This white variety is also highly suitable for dyeing, offering many possibilities in the Eastern European market.

On Thursday, 5 February, three luxury limousines pulled up in front of Zentoo DC to treat around 25 ladies from export companies to a truly pampering afternoon! “Reflecting beauty” is not only applicable to the beautiful white chrysanthemum variety Mirana, but was also very much the motto of this beauty day.

After a luxurious limousine ride towards Made — with a glass of champagne, of course, not to be missed — the ladies were welcomed by Deliflor Chrysanthemums and Zentoo with a delightful lunch/high tea. A long table set up along the path between the flowers at Martijn Middelburg’s company made this an experience in itself.

Next, various beauty stations were set up where the ladies could have their nails, makeup and hair done, as well as enjoy a relaxing massage. Fully pampered and relaxed, they then had their photos taken with a stunning Mirana bouquet in front of the now well-known Mirana glitter wall. This was complemented by plenty of selfies among the beautiful fields of Mirana chrysanthemums in the greenhouse.

According to the ladies present, it was a very successful afternoon and more than welcome during the busy period they have (had) in the run-up to the Valentine’s Day trade.

A market with stronger connections between growers, traders, and Deliflor—that was the objective of the Deli Flower Market. Given the many enthusiastic reactions from all parties involved, it is fair to say that this goal has been achieved. Not only were growers able to evaluate novelties in Deliflor’s flowering trial—where there was once again plenty of new material to discover—but sales representatives from the growers’ collectives were also able to present their own assortments to the attending traders. In addition, they had the opportunity to discuss their highlights from the flowering trial in greater detail with the trade. A true win-win situation.
